The True "Boss"!!

Oh I am so excited!! I just found out that Robin...one of my favorite Moms in the adoption world.... has arrived in blogland!! Robin's wise no nonsense, no sugar, so spot on intelligent way of writing and thinking is just a great, great thing!!! And you think *I* call it as I see it...this is the one main lady that I have learned from! She has only started, but man, it is bound to be a great place of adoption truth. Here she is!! In other news... Kelly my helpful coworker has gotten me five more great research articles...WooHoo!! I have yet to devour them, but soon!!! Real soon. Plus Rye's cousin was visiting and she offered to give me her access to Penn State and Georgetowns libraries. I am gonna be swimming in research!! I forgot what a geek I am! It was so exciting to have these research papers!!! Then today, I am here on line and Rye comes upstairs to tell me that "there are two teenagers on the porch that are confused about my Open Records bumper sticker on my car and want to talk to me...so I, of course, go and talk to them! Turns out they are two local kids, who have been freinds since 2nd grade. Both their mothers are adoptees..from the Bronx...pure Baby Scoop Era issue..nice white, Irish girls. So similair, in fact, that these two kids are convinced that they are realited! And truthfully, looking at them...it might be. SO I explain to them about the NY law, BSE times, what very well could be the stories of their grandmothers..give them the name to Ann Fessler's book...talk to them about their medical history and lack of, etc. About a half hour into it...They both would like thier moms to search..they want to know thier stories and histories... You know..I think they will buy the book for their moms...I think I might end up seeing these two kids again. And how cool would it be if they DO share a grandmother..blood found blood...cousins..and if I help their mothers get over their fears of the "big bad birthmother"...and learn their truth. It was really cool..and just from my one little bumper sticker.
