De Lurk if you would?
I love my handy little site meter. It tells me all kinds of interesting bits.
Like where ya'll come from, which links have brought you here, who stays and reads a bit, who checks often.
What is interesting is the ones who Google directly "Musings of the Lame"...OK so you know to look for me..Why? Do tell.
And if you Google "FauxClaud"...why? Who am I to you? Did someone say "check out this mad woman?"
And what is with that linky link at the "Philanderers Forum"?????
So, following KimKim, I ask too..could you, would you, please tell me why you are here and all the juicy tidbits. I am a curious person by nature..and the curiousity is just killing me!!
So be kind..drop me a line. Leave a comment. Have some cyber coffee with me. I know you know how to use that keyboardy thing!
K?

ReplyDeleteI think I met you thru KimKim's site.
Love the stories and the general thoughts and postings.
Adoptee - searching and hoping
Whittier, CA
I love your site. You say what you feel. I like that!
ReplyDeleteWife of Adoptee in reunion
Nicole. East coast of U.S. Used to be scared of you, a loooooooong time ago, if you can believe it... LOL! Now you're my hero. =) (Insert sappy music here.) Nah seriously, I love your blog, love all your writings, love hearing your thoughts and your words. And someday I'd love to get together in real life, just to share ideas and interests, over a cup of joe. Maybe some day. =)
ReplyDeleteDearest Claud...
ReplyDeletekisses kisses kisses
I enter your site through either my favorites file, which I may have googled to find or through about.coms top 10 **rth parent blogs which is also in my favorties file which I may have also googled to find although I am pretty sure I saved the link from AAI. Anyway, you know me, I am harmless...well I can cook a killer chocolate brownie.HA!
So I usually save your blog for last when I read through About.coms top 10..well top nine now. A few of them bug the shit out of so badly I come here for sanity.
Abbi
Oh, I KNOW you guys!! If I linked to you..then I know you!! You're not a lurker!
ReplyDeleteBut if you want to say nice things to me..fine!
Ok..N, WHY was I scarey??? Do tell..
I could not even begin to trace the path. Friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend... through a bunch of clicking on people's links. And then I was interested. So I stayed.
ReplyDeleteJenna. Ohio. And like dear N, I was once scared of you, too. But you know that. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I come here because you inspire me. And you're cool. And you give me decorating tips.
Yeeeeeeah.
OMG..I am so not scarey!!!!
ReplyDeleteHere from way up north in Bangor Maine where it is 27 degrees and snowing hard right now. I have adopted 2 children (now ages 9 and almost 5). I enjoy reading different perspectives from people involved in adoption.
ReplyDeleteI vary my routes, but generally come via either Cookie's, Attilla the Hun's, or Kim-Kim's blogs. I'm a blog tourist.
ReplyDeleteI don't always agree with what you say (though mostly I do), but I love the fact that you excercise your right to say it in no uncertain way.
I'm a reunited bio-mum, adoptive mother and conventional old ('old' being the operative word) regular-type mother.
I can't remember how I actually *found* "Musings of the Lame" (which shows how old I'm getting).
I read adoption.com for amusement and then read your blog for reality.
ReplyDeleteI found your link through another adoption blog. I like reading your stuff. It's fun and real. I have been on about every side of adoption except as mom who lost a child.
ReplyDeleteI'm the one who you found coming here after being at philanderers forum, it's another site I read for pure entertainment purposes. It's a long story. Really long. So with that I'm sure you won't mind if I don't out myself too much more? ;-) I just have a list of sites in my head I check out one after another each day, and sometimes it varies as to when.
First time, I came through Kim Kim's blog and said wow, Madonna has a blog? LOL Sorry
ReplyDeleteI enjoy popping in and reading about your continuing adventures.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Adoptee, reunited.
I'm Libby in Seattle. I found you through Jana (Birthmother: Reprise), who I found through Dawn (This Woman's Work). I was almost a Birthmother, but changed my mind at the last minute. Something told me to keep her.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and your writing and am thrilled that you're going to meet Max.
Love that you are human and even though the loss can consume our lives, you remind me that I am more than a first mom. I am something else outside adoption and placing that aside and doing other things from myself, family, and friends. I can not change what I did, and i have to accept it. It is something that i can not change.
ReplyDeleteps...we used to "ditch riding" and "feild hopping" in the corn fields in the old HUGE Broncos!!
Gosh, I can't remember how I landed on your site the first time, but I love hearing your perspective on things, so I put it in my favorites and keep in touch with you a couple times a week. We have adopted 4 children and have primarily open relationships with the birthfamilies, and I like to hear about other peoples experiences and feelings about adoption. Thank you for allowing me to learn from you!
ReplyDeleteClaud, I'm not sure how I first found you (through the birthmother blogring, I think), and I may have sometimes googled you before I got my bloglines account organized enough.
ReplyDeleteI adopted my daughter 3 years ago, and I read, and sometimes comment on, all kinds of mama blogs to help me think about what it means to be a(n adoptive) mama. I love reading your stories (all of them, adoption-themed and not).
I come for the cookies. LOL
ReplyDeletemy first site was Speakingformyself, and then I found the whole world of blogging mothers.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'd like to know... is how do you see all the people who check out your site? do tell! :)
I was referred to your site as I am researching anti-adoption for an article.
ReplyDeleteOur son is 9 weeks old and we adopted him in a 100% open situation. We speak to his other parents regularly and they will be visiting us in June, as are his grandparents.
I was hoping you and I could talk a bit for my article, as well as my own interest in the other side of adoption sentiment.
I am here de-lurking, I am the one you see on your site metre all the time.
ReplyDeleteKim you are NOT a lurker!! PluSESSS
ReplyDeleteBrandi..sure I am ususally most willing to talk to just about anyone...if you click on my profile, then you have an EMAIL button..and you can get to my box directly. I tried to find one for you, but all I saw was that cutie pie.
I'm not a lurker either, but I found you through the blogring. I often come by typing "mu" into my address bar and letting autofill do the rest, though sometimes I come from my own home so that I won't miss anyone.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. Usually I can't tolerate long posts, but you tell stories so well no matter what they are about.
Oh... the whole "scary" thing? I think it was just because I was in la-la land (aka denial) and you threatened to shatter my bubble, yanno? Then when I started to come out of it, first time I pm'ed you, I was scared shitless that you wouldn't want to talk because of how dumb I HAD been. LOL.
ReplyDeleteBut no.... you're not scary at all. It was my own insecurities.
I came through devouring the birthmother blog ring. So, yeah, you can see where we came from??? How does that work?
ReplyDeleteits me. your crazy myspace friend from CT who hopes to meet you in a few weeks when I head up that way. oh yeah, also called Suz.
ReplyDeleteI Found you through Kimkim and others as well. Iam Maryreunited.. Kristenjean is my daughter. We have been in reunion for almost a year now. I love your writing(the little I have read so far! They all spoke so highly of you I had to come here and read..Looking forward to reading more too!
ReplyDeleteMary
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm Gwen and I found your blog through Kim Kim. I'm an adoptive mom to 3 children. I have learned a lot from reading your blog and hope you don't mind. I love your new post about weaving!
